At Mealio, we strive to provide excellent service and ensure customer satisfaction. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds may be issued for our subscription-based restaurant management platform.

By subscribing to Mealio's services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Refund Policy.

2. Free Trial Period

We offer a 14-day free trial for new customers:

  • Full access to all features of your chosen plan
  • No payment required upfront
  • You can cancel anytime during the trial
  • If not canceled before the trial ends, billing begins automatically

We recommend using the free trial to ensure the services meet your needs.

3. Subscription Refunds

3.1 Monthly Subscriptions

Monthly subscription fees are generally non-refundable, except in cases such as:

  • Technical Issues: If Mealio experiences downtime exceeding 48 consecutive hours, you may qualify for a prorated refund.
  • Billing Errors: Incorrect charges caused by system errors will be refunded.
  • First Month Guarantee: If you're not satisfied within the first 30 days of your first paid month, you may request a full refund.

3.2 Annual Subscriptions

Annual subscription policies:

  • 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee: Full refund within first 30 days.
  • Prorated Refunds: After 30 days, refunds may be issued in exceptional cases, minus a 20% administrative fee.
  • Mid-Contract Cancellation: No refunds for remaining months unless required by law.

4. Refund Exceptions

Refunds will NOT be issued in cases such as:

  • Change of mind after guarantee period
  • Failure to use the service
  • User error or lack of technical knowledge
  • Third-party service issues
  • Account suspension due to Terms violation
  • Downtime less than 48 hours
  • Requests made more than 60 days after the charge

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund:

  1. Contact Support: Email support@mealiosystem.com with the subject "Refund Request".
  2. Provide Information: Include account email, plan, reason, and relevant details.
  3. Review Process: We review within 3–5 business days.
  4. Decision Notification: We email our decision and refund details.

6. Refund Processing

6.1 Processing Time

  • Refunds processed within 5–10 business days
  • Returned to original payment method
  • Extra 5–10 days may be required by your bank

6.2 Partial Refunds

  • Prorated annual refunds (after guarantee period)
  • Compensation for extended downtime
  • Billing error corrections

7. Cancellation Policy

You can cancel by:

  • Logging into your account → “Billing”
  • Selecting “Cancel Subscription”
  • Contacting support if needed

Important terms:

  • Cancellations take effect at end of billing period
  • You retain access until the end of paid period
  • No refunds for unused days (unless stated in policy)
  • Your data is retained for 30 days, then deleted

8. Chargebacks

We encourage contacting us before issuing a chargeback. Chargebacks:

  • May lead to immediate account suspension
  • May incur processing fees
  • May impact future usage of our services

We resolve billing issues fairly and quickly.

9. Service Credits

Instead of refunds, we may offer service credits for:

  • Minor technical problems
  • Feature limitations
  • Customer service issues

Credits apply to future payments and have no cash value.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. Continued use of our services means acceptance of changes.
